Historic Belmont Plantation, Est 1857 now offers guided tours! Tours are by appointment for individuals or groups of any size. Make your appointment by calling or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tours are $10 per person, but many visitors graciously provide an extra donation to help us continue the restoration of this vital piece of Mississippi history. Please allow approximately 1-2 hours for a guided tour, as follows;
Drive through the enormous iron gates and park in the front circle drive at the Plantation where you will be greeted by our Antebellum historian and Belmont Plantation expert. She will tell you about the house, the grounds, the history of Belmont and her inhabitants, and will answer any questions you may have. She will even explain how the current owner is related to one of the previous saviors of Belmont Plantation; former Mississippi Governor Dennis Murphree.
You will see the entire mansion, even the library which is currently undergoing restoration, and you are welcome to take a leisurely stroll around the entire grounds.
